It's tough and it's waterproof. Like all new things, I treated it with some care at the beginning but no longer have a second thought about throwing it into the dinghy fully loaded before I bother to bail it out and heap the sort of abuse that is the norm for a cruising rucksack. The roll top closure instead of a zipper works finest kind and you can color me a seriously happy camper.
