An interesting battery chemistry, disappearing teachers, and in the "Voter suppression is a very real thing" department...
I spent the better part of the morning when I should have been writing today's post watching a long sunk ketch which has been an eyesore for years now being craned into a succession of dumpsters.
I'm unclear as to the reason for its sinking but suspect it was either a faulty seacock or, more likely, just a hose that worked loose.
What's even more scary is the cost of getting it into the dumpsters as there were lots of billable hours, a barge, two cranes, and a backhoe. I'm guessing a couple of hundred thousand dollars or so.
Kind of makes you think.
