Nanocellulose is a happy making word...

How climate change became a "liberal hoax", kind of amazing that "Silent Spring" is now fifty years old, and something interesting about shark deterrents...

I'll be honest, the strain of listening to the current political conventions has me wanting to throw things at the bulkhead. It's needful to keep an eye on what the politicians are saying but the fact that we have been reduced to having to choose between real bad or even worse does take its toll.

Which is why I was so jazzed when I came across this article from the Forest Service which talks about a different way to use wood for high strength applications (think spars and hulls) that is stronger than just about all of the carbon or Kevlar materials (the exception being carbon nano tubes) at a cost of about 10%...

This is very good news!
