Everybody knows there is no sanity clause...

Just imagine, worth a read, and how, sadly, good design reflects need...

Gink & Gasoline (one of our favorite fly fishing sites) has a thoughtful bit on the whole Z-Poc thing and it got me thinking how folks with different interests will fare when/if it all gets messy.

Cruising sailors have a great advantage in that they, by their very nature, can prepare to their hearts content while avoiding the social stigmata of being taken for a "prepper" sort. For instance, while survivalists and preppers stockpile and horde, we as cruising sailors provision.

Provisioning sounds sane, while on the other hand, stockpile and horde are words often used in sentences that include tin foil hats... See the difference?

Which is not to say cruising sailors are any more sane than any other group of people but our insanity is, for the moment at least, a lot more socially acceptable.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I want to go buy a t-shirt from the Path Less Pedaled folks...
