Rip Torn, who has always been one of my favorite actors, passed away recently. Leaving behind a lifetime's worth of great roles.
While maybe not Torn's greatest role, his characterization of Scully the piratical restaurant owner, sea captain, and sailing instructor in Summer Rental with John Candy has always been one of my personal favorites.
