Guerilla warfare of the waterline sort...

A scam of note, an interesting hypothesis, and a new blog from Dudley Dix...

I'm sitting here looking at a big bag of books we're taking to the local animal shelter's thrift shop... Almost all of the books are of the "we'd certainly like to read again" variety so, taking them off the boat goes a long way to making the waterline happy.

The good part is that we're not so much losing the books since we've picked up various e-book versions to replace them. That said we still have over-flowing bookshelves but there is light at the end of the tunnel!

We do keep a weather eye on Amazon and various publishers as we find e-books go on sale regularly so the process of morphing our library to e-books is not overly painful...

Speaking of reduced prices, I just noticed that some of the Pardey books ("Storm Tactics Handbook", "The Self-Sufficient Sailor", "Capable Cruiser", and "The Cost Conscious Cruiser") I consider needful (I regularly refer to them) just came down in price so if you don't have them it is not a bad time to check them out...

Listening to Spirit (and missing Ed Cassidy)

So it goes...
