Getting into hot water...

Here at Boat Bits Central we have had a few emails regarding propane hot water heaters as opposed to going the solar shower route...

Fact is, most of the places folks tend to cruise even a solar shower is something akin to overkill and while we are in the dead of winter here in the Caribbean (according to my depth sounder the water temperature is 82 degrees), simply leaving your pressure sprayer/shower outside is enough needful warming for most folks.

Of course, some folks have a thing for hot showers and may plan cruises to more artic climes so I guess that a propane fueled "on demand" sort of water heater makes some kind of sense and these days they are even  affordable. While we cruised Europe and the Med, we noticed all of  our British friends tended to use this sort and were all pretty happy campers. We, on the other hand, had to resort to the old boiling water in a kettle regime and pour hot water into our pump up garden sprayer shower. As I recall, we were happy campers as well...

So it goes...

I guess, when all is said and done, it's simply what works for you and your budget...
