Some needful reading on aquaculture, something about an asshole in Montana, and in the "Orcas with a bad attitude" department...
I've been reading a blog for awhile now where someone is spending a fortune "fixing" and "updating" their sailboat for cruising. The thing is, nothing really needs to be updated or fixed and the whole makeover is just an exercise in recreational consumerism.
It's sorta/kinda depressing.
Made worse by the fact that they also complain about how much work is involved, how much everything costs, and how long the projects are all taking. The bottom line is they are not happy campers and are stressed to the max.
Such is the the life of a consumerist junkie.
Really, there has to be a better way.
Here's the funny thing, I expect to get a half dozen pissed-off indignant emails from folks who think I'm writing about them...
