An interesting but unsurprising exception to the shutdown, some really bad news, and a bit of depressing but spot on writing...

So, reading the news today, I see that the world is still racing towards disaster in a hot-rodded candy-colored metal flake wicker basket with no discernible end in sight that is not ugly, tragic, or both.

Kind of a bummer that.

In the meantime, I'm going to go out and do some work on the cockpit involving wood, plywood, epoxy resin, glassfiber and a bunch of tools to, hopefully, bring some order to the existing chaos aboard "So It Goes"...

At least I can fix things on my boat.
