Flags of convenience in the tRump posse, scary but needful reading, and Wendig with some very needful content...
During Hurricane Maria last year our way too beefy and heavy (or so we thought) anchor roller bent under the strain which is just the sorta thing one expects when things get to Cat 5. So, a new anchor roller is now on the project list.
As with most projects aboard the first place I tend to look for ideas is Bruce Bingham's "The Sailors Sketchbook".
As expected a few minutes with the book gave me plenty of good ideas to come up with just the right solution to replace our massive and bent beyond repair non-functioning roller for very little money.
Bottom line is "The Sailors Sketchbook" has more than earned it place on our bookshelf and saved us a whole lot of money in the process.
