Some days I hate getting up in the morning... The first thing on my RSS feed today was that
Hobie Alter had passed away. A truly great man who, as it happens, signed the first paycheck I ever received.

I worked, off and on, for Hobie for a couple of years. The thing I most remember was how intently he listened to you when you had an idea and the way his mind was always three steps ahead of you.
